Thank you for taking action - email frome ONE.org

I got this Email from ONE.org:

Dear Jafeth,
Thank you for taking action.
We can help stop starvation now - and stop the causes of starvation. Firstly, we need to make sure funding is provided to pay for urgent help that will prevent people from dying. Secondly, the promises that world leaders made to invest in long term solutions must be kept, so that the people of this region can feed themselves and will not need food aid in the future.

But time is running out. Please ask your friends, family and co-workers to join you. To make it simple, we included a sample email below.
And while spreading the word is critical, please only pass this message along to those who know you -- spam hurts our campaign.
Thanks so much for your support!

Here's a sample message to send to your friends:

Subject: Crisis in the Horn of Africa
You may have seen the pictures of starving people in the Horn of Africa on your TV screens. We are all asking: how can this be happening again? Parts of Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia are facing one of the worst droughts for 60 years, and more than 12 million people are desperately in need of food, clean water and basic sanitation.

Join me in calling on world leaders to save millions of lives - today and tomorrow:

Despite the urgency of the situation, most world leaders are responding too slowly. Immediate aid is essential. Yet at the same time we must not let them drop the ball on long term solutions as has too often happened in the past.
Take action right now at:

Starting my new art projekt to bring attention to the Situation in Africa

Right now, the Horn of Africa- Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti- is experiencing the worst drought in 60 years. 12.4 million people, mostly nomadic pastoralists and farmers in the areas of south-central Somalia, north-eastern Kenya, and southeastern Ethiopia, are severely lacking access to food and water. The crisis currently affects 4.8 million people in Ethiopia, 3.7 million people in Kenya, 165,000 in Djibouti, and 3.7 million in Somalia.

I know you know. But: just sit here and read the news? No thanks.

That´s why I am starting a new Art Projekt  - i did do not make art since long time but i feel i must somehow help this people and i believe is important as an artist to do something - maybe i can not be there and bring some food, but i can help here NOT TO FORGET what is happening RIGHT NOW.

My idea is to  write in my blog about this journey i am starting - to document what i will do, how i wil do it - and how the response will be. I will contact a lot of interesting persons asking them to help somehow, or just asking them about this situation, if they are doing something already.... i will paint, draw all the time and make fotos and maybe i will sell this kind of stuff/documents as art peaces, and i will donate the money. I just must find a good way to donate this money.

I believe the ONE campaign is still one of my favorite organisations so i will follow theyr actions but i will also look what smaller organisations does.

My english is not so good....but i believe is good when i use this language to promote this Idea, to involve more international people.

So wish me good luck and if you have ideas or critic or else, please just comment here or call me/write me/contact me.

Jafeth
